To a gun collector few things are more beautiful than an engraved firearm. In the days of and following the Civil War, decorated guns became a treasured gift to anyone who received one... including President Abraham Lincoln, when he was presented with one of the first engraved Henrys. In modern times these crafted firearms can cost thousands of dollars just for the engraving.

But not anymore. Henry has created a line of rifles beautifully engraved at an affordable price.

The Big Boy Deluxe .44 Magnum and all the versions of the Golden Boy Rifle are available with personalized engravings.  The hand finished lines seemingly paint the gun’s receiver. A pattern is machined into the gun’s receiver. Then Henry’s craftsmen go over the rifle, engraving the final details.  The design  is a tribute to one of America’s legendary gun engravers, Louis D. Nimischke.

Henry Rifles - Big Boy on Shooting USANimischke’s scroll work made him one of the most recognized engravers during the middle of the 19th century.  His signature design was more open than most European engravers at the time. This type of wider pattern gives these cowboy style lever guns an added historical touch.

To ensure your rifle is truly unique, the design has a small blank oval on each side of the receiver. The Henry Engravers will inscribe any name you want in this oval (allow 30 days from time of order).

There is no denying the appeal of these engraved firearms. They will be sure to enhance your collection, but these guns are more than just collector pieces.

Henry Rifles Big Boy on Shooting USAThe Big Boy Deluxe comes in .44 Magnum.  The .44 Rem. Mag’s performance keeps it at the top of the list for hunters and cowboy action shooters.

The Big Boy Deluxe weighs 8.68 pounds, distributed across the 38 1/2 inch long gun, and can hold 10 rounds.  The walnut stock is outfitted with a brass butt plate matching the brass receiver and barrel band. The lever action works surprisingly smoothly and quickly allowing the shooter to keep a string of fire going.  And the .44 Magnum is easy to control in a repeating rifle. Shooters will find it easy to stay on target. The lever action, trigger, and barrel are bright blued, giving the rifle a brilliant shine. Henry’s suggested retail price for the Engraved Big Boy Deluxe is $1,695.00.

Henry Rifles Golden Boy on Shooting USAHenry’s Engraved Golden Boy Rifles come in either .22 LR, .22 Magnum, or .17 HMR.  The magazine is capable of holding 16 LR rounds, or 12 rounds in .22 Mag or .17 HMR .  The gun weighs 6.75 pounds and is 38.5 inches long in .22 Mag and .17 HMR.  39 inches long for the .22 LR model.  Like the Big Boy the stock is walnut with a brass butt plate, brass receiver, and brass barrel band.  The barrel, trigger, and lever have the same bright blued finish as the Big Boy. The Golden Boy’s smaller stature combined with the smooth operating lever action and traditional cowboy look make it a great gun for varmint hunting or just plinking at targets. With the engraved receiver, Henry suggests the retail price at $1,200.00 for the .22 LR version, $1,325.00 in .22 Magnum, and $1,350.00 in .17 HMR.

The Golden Boy and Big Boy Rifles look like cowboy guns. Whether you’re in the woods deer hunting with your Big Boy or just out shooting targets with the Golden Boy, the Henry rifles are sure to perform for you. And mounting one of the engraved Henry rifles to the wall in your gun room will give you the look of a collectable at a surprisingly affordable price.
