Shooting USA Now Broadcast in Canada America’s Shooting Sports Series now in Six Million Canadian Homes
Franklin, TN: Tier One Media, LLC has announced an agreement with the Canadian cable network, Wild TV, for distribution of the Shooting USA television series to more than six million Canadian subscriber households.
Jim Scoutten, Executive Producer of Tier One Media, said the Shooting USA shows are to appear five times each week, with two airings in prime time, on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Scoutten said, “This is the news our Canadian fans have been asking for. They have not been able to see our coverage of American Shooting Sports for more than six years, ever since our previous series of shows moved off The Nashville Network as it turned into Spike TV.”
Scoutten said, he knows there is a significant audience of gun owners and enthusiasts North of the border, particularly in the Central and Western Provinces. He said he’s been hearing from them by e-mail and DVD sales from the ShootingUSA.com website show there’s interest in the shows in Canada. “Now Canadians will be able to tune in at their convenience as Wild TV makes the series widely available,” Scoutten said.
Wild TV is Canada’s only cable and satellite network programming for Hunters, Fishermen, and Traditional Outdoor Sports enthusiasts. Wild TV is distributed throughout Canada on a network of cable systems and on channel 389 of the Bell ExpressVu Canadian Satellite system.
Scoutten said Canadian viewers will see the entire Shooting USA TV series of 26 shows per year, however the Canadian schedule of shows appearing each week will not be the same as the schedule appearing in the United States. Canadian viewers should consult the Canada Schedule page of the ShootingUSA.com website to see what’s airing each week. For air times in each province, Canadian viewers should check local cable and satellite listings and the Wild TV website: www.wildtv.ca
