OUR JUNE WINNER!

Dan writes:
Jim,

Dan Stants receives his S&W 637 from Tiffany Gonsman of East Coast Gun Sales
|
|
I hit the range this morning and tested out a couple of different types of ammo that I had loaded up. The more I shot it the better my groups got, and I also hit the steel plate range for a bit and the gun handled the plates with ease. The gun has a good bit of jump to it due to the light weight, so its certainly not something you would spend all day target shooting with. But for its intended purpose as a compact self defense gun it is absolutely perfect. The light weight and compact size will make it much easier to conceal and carry than my Model 66 or M&P 40, my normal carry guns, and its got more than enough power to do the job. I am going to work on a few hand loads for carry purposes and do plenty of range testing to see what works best, so it will provide me with lots of excuses to head to the range. After all, isn't that the whole point of having guns and loading your own ammo?
Thanks again for all the hard work you guys do to produce a great show every week, and for making me the "Gun of the Month" winner. I look forward to tuning in for many years to come!
Dan Stants

Mike Tilley presents the S&W “Lemon Squeezer” Classic to May winner, Robert Miller

|
I want to extend my sincere appreciation for everything you guys at Shooting USA have done for me. This is an honor for me, as I am new to shooting sports, and winning has certainly helped to increase my interest substantially. This is also the first time I have ever won anything! I have to say, when you called I was borderline speechless. I picked up the gun from Personal Defense and Handgun here in Raleigh, and it is a fine example of craftsmanship. Smith & Wesson really does build firearms of exceptional quality.
I've been watching your show ever since I was in high school. "American Shooter" Saturdays were my favorite! And now Shooting USA continues the tradition of knowledgeable, informative, and quality programming. And again, thank you to everyone at Shooting USA, Smith & Wesson, and Personal Defense and Handgun here in Raleigh, NC for everything.
Thanks Jim! and "Keep them in the 10 ring!"
