RELOADING TIPS with ALLAN JERNIGAN - TIP 11 Case Extraction In today’s tip on reloading we are going to talk about another one of the frequently asked questions we receive at the factory. That is: “Now that I have a stuck case in my sizer die how can I extract it?”  To do this is going to require the use of a vice and a stuck case remover kit.  To start this process we want to back out the expander de-cap assembly as far as possible.  Next we are going to chuck the die up in a vice.  Be sure to use some type of rag to protect the finish on your sizer die.  Now we are going to use the number seven drill bit, provided in the kit, to drill through the primer pocket and the flash hole. Next we are going to take the tap that is provided in the kit and tap all the way through the hole that we just drilled. Now we take the stuck case remover body and place it over the head of the case and start your allen bolt. You continue to tighten your allen bolt with the wrench provided until you have successfully extracted the case from the sizer die.
