RELOADING TIPS with ALLAN JERNIGAN - TIP 12 Dot Load Software In today’s session I would like to talk about the RCBS Dot Load software program.  This is a powerful program that is designed for the serious shooter and hand loader. This program includes over 1,500 factory loads and has listed over 1,600 standard bullets in the database. It also includes over 35,000 different load combinations for over 215 cartridges.   For instance, the external ballistics calculator can be used to compare and evaluate any number of bullet and load combinations.  This screen can also be used for a virtual “what if” playground.  You can determine the effects of any environmental condition, such as windage, temperature and altitude.  There is also a cartridge designer with the ability to design any wildcat cartridge. It includes a reference catalogue of over 330 parent cartridges and all the dimensions of any parent cartridge can be changed.  The RCBS Dot Load software program is a virtual proving ground for any load combination that you can possibly think of.  It will provide you with hard data that you can then take to your reloading bench.
