 We're Sighting In with the ladies — No boys allowed! — at the Smith & Wesson Lady's Clinic. It's women only, learning shooting and competition, in one of a number of ladies only clinics held across the country. Kay Clark Miculek hosts the new shooters at her range in Louisiana.
The statistics on gun sales tell us one of the biggest segments of the hand-gun market is women buying guns for concealed carry. In most states issuing permits, there is a class required to qualify. But those classes are pretty quick and pretty basic.
So for ladies who take a greater interest in shooting, in training, and perhaps in competition, where do you go? Well, one of the answers is to sign up for a Smith & Wesson ladies clinic, like the one we attended at Kay Clark Miculek’s home range outside Shreveport, Louisiana.
