Sighting In With Shooting USA - Ram Pit Training at Blackwater
We’re taking you inside the training center at Blackwater USA for some very specialized instruction on using your vehicle to save your life.
The Pro Tip with Todd Jarrett on using your vehicle, as opposed to your firearm, in an armed confrontation took us to Blackwater USA and what they call The Ram Pit. It’s the training area where Military and Law Enforcement personnel learn the driving techniques that could save their lives.
It’s the kind of training only offered at a specialized facility like Blackwater, where they keep a supply of expendable vehicles. And some of this training is available for civilians.
Given the opportunity, you can bet that we all jumped at the chance to smash up some cars for training purposes, of course. It’s a case of adjusting your normal driving instincts to use your car as a defensive weapon in an emergency.
