Shooting USA Profile – Julie Goloski
This time, a Shooting USA Profile of the most successful female shooter to ever compete in Practical Shooting. Like so many of the male pro shooters we’ve profiled over the years, competition started out as sport and entertainment… as a hobby. But add a huge dose of talent, and a lot of practice, and a hobby can become a career, as it has for Julie Goloski.
Julie’s shooting career began in the Army with an invitation to join the Army Marksmanship Unit. After eight years in Army green, Julie joined Glock to work with the GSSF, the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation, and changed from shooting in the Open and Limited Divisions of the USPSA, to shooting Production and IDPA competition.
Then Smith & Wesson invited her home to New England with an offer to campaign the new M&P Pistol in competition while managing and developing the Club 1852 organization for Smith & Wesson collectors and owners.
She continues to develop her skills in competition and may be the lady shooter who will beat all the guys in practical shooting competition.
The New M&P from the New Smith & Wesson
There have been polymer guns before. Smith & Wesson has made polymer guns before, but the new line of M&P pistols is the first clean-sheet design to be introduced since Smith & Wesson’s new American owners decided it was time to take back a significant piece of the Police and Military market.
We’re taking you inside the factory to see the new processes and meet the people building the new line of M&P pistols, designed and perfected for the Military and Police.
